Motorbiking Overview

There are a host of companies offering motorcycle tours in the Himalayas and motorcycle tours in Spiti. So let us take this opportunity to tell you what makes us better and different than the others. It was motorcycling that made Karanbir discover the splendour of motorcycling in the spiti valley for the first time. It was in 2001 participating in the Raid De Himalaya (the world’s highest motorsport event) as an 18 year old on a 2 stroke Kawasaki motorcycle that Karanbir first came to Spiti. His passion for motorcycling took him to all parts of India where he took part in motocross, cross country rallying and circuit racing. Karanbir then went to Lisbon to cover the 2008 Dakar rally as a journalist. He also broke the record for the fastest motorcycle ride from Kanyakumari (southernmost tip of India) to leh (northernmost tip of India) in 2008. His passion for motorcycling remains as strong as ever and he understands the demands and requirements of riders. Karanbir even today enjoys guiding his guests across the Himalayas in an attempt to make them fall in love with this area which he loves so dearly. Fortunately his professionalism matches his passion.

We have given two popular itineraries but depending on your time and interests we would be happy to customize itineraries for you.

Personalized motorcycle tours across Spiti Valley

Have you ever had that feeling when you’re not sure if you’re awake or still dreaming. In awe and dumbstruck of what you see in front of you? A sight best described as the magic of God forcing you to take a deep breath to let it all sink in. Ride with us on our motorcycle trips in Spiti and you’ll see what we mean.

A civilization thousands of years old located in one of the most hostile environments in the world can be best described as God’s magic. Any amount of superlatives and adjectives wouldn’t do justice to it. Located in the state of Himachal Pradesh, close to the Tibet border, it seems time has stood still in Spiti.

The road from Chandigarh to Kaza (capital of Spiti) via Manali never lets you down in terms of the sights, sheer adventure and of course the challenge that it presents to the biker. 800 kms (add 100kms more for a ride into Pin valley) of pure adrenaline and a bikers delight. Crossing passes at a height of 16500 feet on what can be best described, as unpaved roads require in equal part determination and skill. The journey over the lofty Himalayas can take anything between 6-7 hours to cross 150kms but riding your motorcycle across Spiti is a decision you will never repent.

Starting from Chandigarh, we provide you an option to either stay the first night in Rampur or a campsite ahead of town. Day two we halt at the UN heritage village of Nako. Day three is another camping day in the Pin valley (national park of the snow leopard). Day four riders finally reach Kaza for a two night halt. Day six is another campsite by the Chandertal Lake before heading back to Manali the next morning.

While travelling on the Chandigarh-Kaza-Manali route one can experience firsthand the change in mountains, people, and culture. Ride your motorcycle across Spiti through the thick alpine forest of Shimla to the high altitude desert of Spiti. One sight after the other, one experience after the other –accumulating memories of a lifetime.

If you are game to have these experiences of a life time then look no further. From getting you Royal Enfield (motorcycles imported enduro motorcycles are also available) to accommodation we would take you to explore the region of Spiti with us. We would plan your trip in such a way that once you are in India or once you cross New Delhi you are assured a trouble free ride.

We offer three different routes across the Himalayas including motorcycle expeditions across Spiti. The first itinerary would cover Lahaul Spiti, the other through regions of Ladakh and the third would be covering both the regions of Lahaul Spiti and Ladakh.
