Spotting wildlife in Spit however is never a guarantee but you can trust us to know our mountains which would increase your chances of seeing wildlife of Spiti valley.

Parks and Sanctuaries of Spiti valley

Pin Valley National Park

In an area of 675 sq kms and a buffer zone of 1150 sq kms, the minimum altitude in the pin valley national park is 3600m and the maximum is 6632m. The park is 2 hours drive from Kaza and we offer excursions into the park from 1 day to 5 days.
The area is home to the Siberian Ibex, the Snow Leopard, the Tibetan Red Fox, Lynx, Himalayan Wolf, Pika, Blue Sheep, Woolly Hare and Weasels.

Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary

The Kibber Wildlife sanctuary which is only 1 hour drive from Kaza includes the villages of Lalung, Langza, Komic and Kibber. It is spread over an area of about 1400 sq km and there are about 13 villages situated outside the periphery of the sanctuary.
The area is home to the Siberian Ibex, the Snow Leopard, the Tibetan Red Fox, Lynx, Himalayan Wolf, Pika, Blue Sheep, Woolly Hare and Weasels.
